Chic's Mexican Tuna Dip

                                                             Tuna Dip

This recipe is loosely based upon the Carlos’n Charlie’s tuna dip that I used to
buy for parties…and personally, I think its better ☺

Ingredients: Back to Adicionales
12 oz solid white albacore tuna packed in water. (If the chunk white is on sale,
you can use that…but stay away from the chunk light!)
1 cup of light mayo
6-8 jalapeno peppers finely chopped (I’ve started using minced jalapeno which
you can buy in a can. Hot is best, but mild also works…use about ½ a can).
3-5 green onions thinly sliced and chopped
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Hot Sauce (I prefer Frank’s Red Hot…but use your favorite)
1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips (I prefer unsalted). Or if you’re like our friend
Jorge, you can make your own, mmmmmm.

Directions
Drain the tuna and put it in a mixing bowl. Separate it with a fork. Add the mayo,
the jalapeno, and the green onions. Mix until thoroughly blended. Now comes the
fun part. Sprinkle in the cayenne. Don’t be shy. This is a Mexican recipe and it’s
supposed to have a kick. Lastly, add a few drops of hot sauce. Do it to taste…it
really makes a difference. Blend thoroughly. A final word, the jalapenos, green
onions, cayenne, and hot sauce amounts should reflect your mood…sometimes
really spicy, sometimes a little mellower…it should be a little different each time
you make it…that keeps it interesting. Really…ask Leslie.
